Introduction of the museum
China Port Museum is located in Chunxiao Binhai New City, Beilun District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province. It covers an area of 5,196 square meters and was opened in October 2014. The museum is positioned with the theme of port culture. It integrates functions of display, education, collection, scientific research, tourism and international exchanges. It reflects the largest, highest-ranking large-scale port museum in China with international, professional and interactive features. It has become a cultural base that inherits port history and port culture, and has become an important base for excavating port history, inheriting port culture, and spreading marine civilization, and has become an important cultural fulcrum of the Maritime Silk Road in the new century.
The China Port Museum will carry the cultural connotation of “ports connect the world”, provide an academic exchange platform for scholars who study the history of Chinese ports at home and abroad, and explore the future of the port; provide an in-depth learning environment for visitors to understand the development process of China's ports and master port knowledge. For the vast number of young people, the museum will help them to scientifically perceive the development of the port and cultivate their interest in the port to provide an intuitive image and interactive atmosphere. The museum also provides a comprehensive display and in-depth research space for the dissemination and promotion of marine civilization and port culture.

Feather people rowing pattern bronze plaque: Warring States, caliber 23.6cm, diameter 57cm, height 37.3cm, consists of a cover and a can. The cover is a female mouth, a round cover, a flat top, a triangular button, and a ring on the button; the can is a straight mouth, a round shoulder, a full belly, and a ring outer. The cover is decorated with four chords of patterns, and the inside of the chord is rounded; the shoulder of the can is decorated with a double animal face, and the shoulder, upper abdomen and lower abdomen are decorated with several chords. The inside of the chords you can see a circle pattern, a diamond pattern and a dot pattern. There are four groups of feather people in the middle of the abdomen. The "feather people" wear feathers and dance, reflecting the worship of the birds of the Baiyue nationality. The feather people rowing pattern is a record of the ancient Chinese navigation activities, and it is also the earliest and most vivid image. The bronze is an important material evidence for the exchange and influence of Chu culture, Baiyue culture and Bashu culture. The model is huge, the craftsmanship is exquisite, and the ornamentation is exquisite.
